Cupping Therapy is the oldest recorded form of medicine. Applying negative pressure to the tissue, the goal is to pull up stagnant fluid stuck within the tissues of the body, and loosen muscle and myofacial tension.
Mallory often uses cupping therapy as a modality of treatment in her Athletic Therapy practice. Before deciding if cupping is right for you, Mallory will discuss the positives and negatives of cupping, and go through the contraindications to be sure it will be a safe option of treatment for you. You can expect she will also go through the paces of an Athletic Therapy treatment, sending you home with stretches and exercises to prolong any benefits brought on by cupping.
Mallory also performs Facial Rejuvenation Cupping, which is a separate treatment from Athletic Therapy. This style of treatment brings fresh blood, nutrients and oxygen into the face, and works on relieving tension and facial lines (a.k.a wrinkles). This incredibly relaxing treatment takes about 50 minutes, and is sure to have you feeling completely relaxed and refreshed by the end!
